Reading Tutor & Positive Behavior Specialist

I’m originally from Chicago and earned my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida before moving to New Mexico to complete my Master’s at the University of New Mexico. My passion for teaching reading grew as I worked in Albuquerque public schools—especially when I saw students make dramatic growth through research-based, multisensory instruction.

During my career, I completed advanced training in:

Alongside literacy development, I’ve also encountered a wide spectrum of behavioral challenges in classrooms. Recognizing that behavior is communication, I pursued targeted training in positive behavior strategies—such as pre-correction, respectful redirection, and nonverbal prompts—to foster calm, engaged learners.
