Hi, I’m Jacquelyn
I’m a local educator, reading tutor, literacy coach, and positive behavior specialist. I’m the author of The Behavior Management Handbook for a Balanced Approach, a guide that helps families build strong habits and positive connections with their children. I also created The 505 Family Post, a newsletter that connects Albuquerque families to fun events, local activities, and ways to explore and grow together.
I love helping kids feel confident, joyful, and independent. I also love Albuquerque because its trails, parks, and community make this city a wonderful place for families to learn, play, and connect.
What We Focus On
1. Family & Community
Our newsletter, The 505 Family Post, connects Albuquerque families to local activities, events, and ideas to explore and grow together. Bringing families and children closer to their community is at the heart of everything I do.
2. Positive Behavior
I provide families with tools through my book and free online resources. These practical strategies help children build habits that support calm, confident, and independent growth.
3. Strong Literacy
Reading tutoring is a service I offer, though it is currently closed to new students. My goal is to help children gain confidence and skills in reading so they can thrive both in school and at home.
Why This Work Matters
Like the resilient cactus, kids and families can thrive even in challenging situations. I’m passionate about giving families tools, ideas, and connections so children can grow confident, joyful, and strong. I love seeing families explore Albuquerque together, and I’m proud to support parents as they help their children build bright futures.
